Challenge:

Our client is a full-service community bank with over 300 branches in nine states. The bank’s corporate
identity and imprinting program for
branch stationery orders (business cards,
letterheads, envelopes, and address labels)
required a high number of touches, causing
longer order cycles and increased chances of
errors.

Repeat orders were faxed along with sample
copy, which needed to be matched with an
art file and sent to plate-making. A plate was made and the order was printed. New or revised orders were branches to the bank’s in-house help desk. An order processor would in turn create an art file for the order and send the order to us. We used a film-to-plate processor, finally getting the order on the press and out the door—all without a proofing mechanism to check logo placement, correctness of copy, or typestyle.
